  4.        ║    The following instructions describe how to install one  ║
  5.        ║       of the VGA extended video drivers for Windows 3.0    ║

  9. step 1 - If you have already installed Windows 3.0 on your system, goto step
  10.          2. You do NOT have to reinstall Windows 3.0 again to change the
  11.          driver. Otherwise, run 'setup' from the Microsoft Windows Disk 1 and
  12.          follow the instructions from step 4 when System Information list is
  13.          displayed.

  15. step 2 - Go to the directory where you have installed Windows 3.0.
  16.  
  17. step 3 - Type 'setup' and press ENTER.

  19. step 4 - Select the 'Display:' option from the System Information list using
  20.          the UP and DOWN ARROW key and press ENTER.
  21.  
  22. step 5 - Scroll to the bottom of the list displayed using the DOWN ARROW key.
  23.  
  24. step 6 - Select 'Other' in the list and press ENTER. You will then be asked
  25.          to insert the manufacturer's display driver disk.
  26.  
  27. step 7 - Put the VGA display driver disk in the drive you want to use.
  28.          Type in the correct pathname for the display driver disk if
  29.          the default path shown is wrong (i.e. 'A:\').
  30.  
  31. step 8 - Select the desired driver from the list defined on the disk and
  32.          press ENTER. You may be asked to insert the "VGA display driver
  33.      disk" again. If so, again type in the correct pathname (i.e. 'A:\')
  34.          and press ENTER. When the driver has been configured you will
  35.          return to the original configuration screen.

  37. step 9 - Choose 'Accept configuration shown above' and press ENTER to execute
  38.          the 'Complete Changes' process. Windows will return to DOS when the
  39.          configuration has been completed.

  43. NOTE:
  44.     1 - You can NOT run the 'Setup' (icon) within Windows itself.
  45.  
  46.     2 - When installing Windows for the first time and electing to select
  47.         one of the drivers provided on the VGA display driver disk; Windows
  48.         setup program at some time will prompt you with the following
  49.         message:
  50.                 Setup needs the following disk
  51.     without giving the name of the disk. It is in fact requesting the
  52.         VGA display driver disk. So, put the VGA driver display disk in
  53.         the drive, type the complete path and press ENTER.
